Malachite Elephant Carving, AMalachite Elephant Carving This Malachite comes from the Congo, where it also carved. I'm very fond of Malachite from this area as it has more complex and delicate natural markings plus the carvers likely have a much deeper connection to Elephants in the wild ! Note the raised trunk which in Feng Shui is said to be protective. Certainly if you meet such an Elephant in the wild the only thing you can do it get out of the way. The first 4 pics were
