Wonderful Antique Portrait of Woman in Green on TinI have no information about the subject of this painting, but I think it's a wonderful portrait, and personally I like the craquelure and paint loss revealing the mirror like surface of the shiny tin underneath, making it feel at the more atmospheric. Between her dress and her hair I think mid 19th c., and it seems the black neck ribbon and pink bow with brooch may be signifiers identifiers of some sort, but I'm not entirely certain what they tell us
